Our new neighbors have season tickets to Illinois football, and Rhya and I are going with them to the PSU vs. UofI game on the 29th! It will be all I can do not to wear PSU gear and a JoePa mask, but he’s not a big fan of giving up his tickets to those that root for other teams, so I’ll try to be good.

Mobile Blogging
I know there is a ton of posts that I should be putting up (Kelly’s wedding, house pictures, the Schulz’s visit, and the Kilday trip down – I’m sure I’m missing some more..It’s been awhile). I’ve got a nifty new phone, so hopefully I can augment the real posts with some small ones when I remember things. Oh, I’ve got some videos, too.

Princeville Heritage Days 2007
Well, we’re officially moved into the new house, and I’ve got an internet connection, so I can begin the unloading. A lot has happened in the last couple of months, including Lindy sitting on a tractor with her Grandpa after a parade in P’ville.
It was a great time, and the tractors looked awesome. Jump on over to flickr to see the rest of the pictures.

Do!
Here is a video of Lindy playing at the park with Rhya, Rachel and Tammy. Listen for her saying “Do, Do , Dooo!” as she goes down the slide. Also, there are a few new pics over on the right, if you need your Rhya and Lindy fix like I do.

Movin’, Movin’, Movin’
After about a month of Rhya packing up the house, my Dad, Mom, and I spent Saturday moving the boxes and the light(er) furniture into the garage to get ready for transport. Then, on Sunday, Dad and I loaded up a 26′ U-haul and took it to the storage facility. After that delight, we came back to the house for round 2. This time, Charlie came over and we grabbed the heavy furniture as well. So, with the exception of a few boxes to be packed, a lawn to be moved and some cleaning and paint touch-up, we are effectively now longer P-towners. I now declare us citizens of Chillsville, though Rhya and I will be in Rockford and Princeville respectively in the near future. Phone numbers won’t change, and we’ll send out some change of address cards in a bit. I’ll have some pictures to post soon. There is a lot of progress being made!
Kansas City
We got a chance to go to Kansas City to see the Hofers last weekend for 3 days. The weather wasn’t the best, but it was still awesome. It was the first time we attempted such a long car trip (6-7 hrs.) with Lindy, and she didn’t do bad on the way there. We had an absolutely great time, and the whole trip was capped off with some time in the park, where Lindy got to swing her little heart out.

We Sold our Old House
In what was a flurry of activity, Rhya and I put our house on the market for sale by owner, held one open house, and signed paperwork for the sale of our house in 25 days start to finish. I’d have to say there was some serious luck in there for us! We are closing on April 30th, so that sends us scrambling again to move all of our stuff into storage!
As far as the current house goes, I’ve been a bit of a slacker in getting new pictures up. Here is one from my cell phone from this weekend, but I plan to snap some more tomorrow when I go to meet with the electrician about some “special requests.”
One thing of note, though…Check out the entry arch. Charlie is extremely proud of it, and I can see why. It is going to profile the front door perfectly when the brick is on it!

Lindy goes to the park
Though I thoroughly hated the new Daylight Savings Time on Monday morning, I really enjoyed being able to walk out of work while the sun was still shining. Rhya and I celebrated by taking Lindy and the dogs to the park. Lindy loved the swings and the slide, but I think we’re going to have to find a different park next time, because we were the only people there.

Sheeting the Roof
As you can see, Charlie and his guys have been crazy busy knocking out the framing of this house. We went over on Friday, but it was pouring. I couldn’t get any pictures then (but that didn’t stop Charlie from continuing to work). However, Sunday was gorgeous, and I spent quite a bit of time walking around and through the house, though I had to employ some climbing maneuvers to get on the second floor with no ladder and no stairs.
Totally awesome.
