We got over a foot of snow yesterday, so Rhya bundled up Lindy tight, and we took her out on a sled that I had gotten the night before. I’m not sure what she thought of all of it, but I think she was a bit docile because of the fact she was bundled up so much. I, on the other hand, was stoked, because it was my break from shoveling my driveway. It took probably about 3 1/2 – 4 hrs. when all is said and done, and I beat the city road crew, as they still haven’t cleared our streets!

T-Storms
I wish I would have had the digital camera last night. I’ve never seen so many trees ripped up in person before. I drove home from work last night right after a severe thunderstorm had passed through, generating winds of over 70 mph. This picture from my camera phone shows a giant tree two doors down from our house with about half of its major branches ripped in half. Luckily, the only damage done to our tree was very minor – but it was enough that I was picking up sticks in our yard for an hour while they restored power to our block.

Tornado Drill
As I was writing my barrage of birthday posts, I had to go into a shelter in my work building because a tornado touched down about 5-10 miles away. Ah, miss midwest, how I’ve missed thee.

Looks like they predicted it right for once.
