We’re having a boy!
We’re getting ready to add a new member to the family…..on July 31st. We’re very excited, and rushing around to get the house ready
Oh, and….Happy Birthday Rhya and everyone else that I missed, Rhya’s pregnant, I’ve been to Belgium a couple times, welcome Kaden, summer is awesome, I’ve been twittering more (so make me you’re friend), and I’ve got about 200-some pictures to upload. Oh, and here’s a video:

Mobile Blogging
I know there is a ton of posts that I should be putting up (Kelly’s wedding, house pictures, the Schulz’s visit, and the Kilday trip down – I’m sure I’m missing some more..It’s been awhile). I’ve got a nifty new phone, so hopefully I can augment the real posts with some small ones when I remember things. Oh, I’ve got some videos, too.

Happy Birthday Rhya!
Rhya’s birthday was yesterday, and in her words she “was cel – e – brat – ed!” Rhya’s parents, sister, and grandparents came down, and we went to Weaver Ridge for brunch, which is absolutely excellent. Lindy loved it, and she tried at least 10 things. Then, we took everyone to our lot, which her grandparents had never seen. We went back to our house, where Rhya was bombarded with presents. Then, my parents came over and took us out to Japanese! Needless to say, neither of us wants to eat again for at least a week (but there are Japanese leftovers calling my name already). It was so nice to see so much family in one day!
I put a couple more pictures of the house up, as the forms have been taken off, and the dirt has been backfilled around the foundation. It’s amazing how much deeper it looks when you can stand on the edge and look down.

Lindy’s First Christmas
We had a very eventful Christmas this year! Lindy had an absolutely amazing time, getting to see tons of family throughout the vacation. The Hofers were in town from KC, and she even got to see Punky and Judy (her Great-Aunts from Pensacola and Atlanta). Lindy was enthralled with the boxes and wrapping paper, and she was pretty impressed with the presents, too! Unfortunately, Rhya and I had to battle the stomach flu through the 24th and 25th, but we had a great vacation nonetheless.

We own more snow and dirt!
Yet another thing that I’ve been delinquent in mentioning: Rhya and I officially own more dirt and snow! We closed on the lot last Friday, and then it immediately started to warm up. No word yet on when excavating will commence (we were told there are a couple people in front of us), but we’re excited nonetheless!
Here’s our dirt! – (It’s actually where the road intersects the horseshoe…yahoo is off a bit, but google can’t even find it)

Snow Day!
We got over a foot of snow yesterday, so Rhya bundled up Lindy tight, and we took her out on a sled that I had gotten the night before. I’m not sure what she thought of all of it, but I think she was a bit docile because of the fact she was bundled up so much. I, on the other hand, was stoked, because it was my break from shoveling my driveway. It took probably about 3 1/2 – 4 hrs. when all is said and done, and I beat the city road crew, as they still haven’t cleared our streets!

Grandma and Grandpa’s House
Lindy and I have started a bit of routine: we head over to Grandpa Vernon and Grandma Janet’s house on Sunday for lunch and to (usually) watch the Bears’ game. Rhya usually stays home and gets some cleaning done or takes some well deserved rest. This week, with the Bears playing tomorrow, Lindy was able to take full advantage of some of my old toys (see the Mickey bank in the back) as well as some new ones.

Tanner’s Orchard
We took a family trip to Tanner’s Orchard a couple of weekends ago for some apple cider, some cinnamon-cider donuts, and a chance to see the goats, llamas, and alpacas. There are some really great pictures of Rhya and Lindy in this set, so you’ll want to make sure you check out the slide show.
Lindy wasn’t sure what to think of the goats, but she liked standing on the bench and looking at the pumpkins. Afterwards, we shot over to Chillicothe and watched our future high school team beat the #7 ranked team in the state. As of now (with a couple weeks to go), they are undefeated and ranked #7 in 4A. We went with Charlie and Amber, who have a cousin on the flag squad.

Not the Mama!
Lindy and I are going to have a night out on the town in Chi-town tomorrow, which will officially be the longest that Rhya has been away from the little one. Rhya is going to go to a bachelorette party, so I will be attempting to keep little Lindy busy enough to forget that I’m “Not the Mama!” Wish me luck…(or her luck, whichever)
